The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research has agreed to pay a fee to the United States Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office for Civil Rights (OCR) in the amount of $3.9 million as a court settlement against alleged infractions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Privacy and Security Rules.
